Behind the scenes with Paradise Island Resort Maldives

Our third and final location for World Swimsuit 2015 was the glorious Paradise Island Resort on Lankanfinolhu Island in the North Malé Atoll. Paradise Island sits a convenient 9.5km from the Malé International Airport in the Maldives.

At 1km long and 230m wide, the Paradise Island Resort is one of the bigger resorts in the Maldives with plenty to offer in terms of luxury accommodation, local and international cuisine, a world-class spa, idyllic beach and lagoon locations as well as a vast array of activities for those in need of stimulation.

There are 220 Super Deluxe Beach Rooms and 62 water villas at the Paradise Island Resort, but the sheer size of the island and incredible design of the resort ensures privacy and the feeling of tranquil bliss wherever you choose to spend your time in Paradise. The Water Villas, in particular, are breathtaking. Perched above the still waters of the lagoon, guests can simply enter the water and bathe with the tropical fish by walking off their decks into the warm and inviting sea.

The Araamu Spa is a delightful and relaxing retreat where you can indulge yourself to a number of relaxing treatments in the hands of the highly talented therapists.

Dining at Paradise Island is a treat with four different locations serving up the best local and international cuisine to be enjoyed in breathtaking surrounds.

Your adventurous side is also well catered for with full diving and snorkelling facilities along with a complete array of water sports including catamaran sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, jet skiing, water skiing, tow sports and parasailing. A thriving resort bar with regular live bands and DJs along with crab-racing, shark feeding, sting ray viewings and much much more provide ample opportunities to socialise with holidaymakers from around the world.

When you see the Paradise Island Resort in World Swimsuit 2015 magazine or TV special, you'll want to pack your bags and head straight off to enjoy it for yourself! We can't wait to go back!
